 BOARD MEETINGS

The Board of Directors meets twice a year, in spring and fall, on Hilton Head Island. Owners are welcome to attend these meetings. If action is required by the Board between regular meetings, a special meeting will be held, usually via teleconference. Minutes of Board meetings will be posted on the website after they are approved at the next Board meeting.

 ANNUAL OWNER MEETINGS

The Monarch bylaws require an annual meeting of the association Owners, which usually is held on Hilton Head Island immediately following the fall Board meeting. The meeting is open to all Monarch owners, and attendance by Board members is expected. The primary purpose of the meeting is to elect Directors to fill vacancies on the Board and vote on any other business that requires approval of the owners of the Association.

The Board and management company usually provide an overview of resort operations and activities that occurred during the year.

Owners are encouraged to attend the Annual Meeting; however, if they cannot attend it is important that they submit their proxy so that a quorum is established to conduct the meeting. The proxy also serves as their ballot to elect Directors and to vote for any issues requiring owner approval.

Minutes of the Annual Meeting will be posted on the website after they are approved by the Governance Committee.
